Review by: NanajhpaNot the bestThis product cooks up about as well as tree bark. Wish you’d give us dried celery leaves. That’s where the flavor is. Certainly not in what you offer in dried celery.

Review by: onecookSuper flavor!Wow. I'm definitely impressed. Tastes as good as fresh, easy to measure into soups or salads, and stores very well. Fresh celery takes up so much room in the fridge, and it's inefficient to buy the whole bunch when only a few tablespoons full are what's needed. I don't bother with that anymore. I'd rather buy this lovely dried celery.

Review by: kikiGood quality product. If you have trouble getting them to soften up when making soup or stir fry on the stove. then add them first before you add other meat and veggies. Also, when used in the slow cooker, they are just fine.I rather they be firm than too soft. Excellent product!

Review by: ElaineVery fibrousThese and the leeks have been the only disappointments I've had with North Bay's products. The celery remains very fibrous and tough, even after cooking for 20-30 minutes. I've taken to grinding them up to get the flavor of celery without the fibers, and that works quite well. I just wish these would soften up faster.

Review by: PHDIt doesn't get anymore convienient than thisCelery, carrots, onions, tomatoes refrigerator basics that I never use up in time. This celery (and the onions, carrots and tomatoes . . . and all the dried veggies I've tried) are SO easy! No prep, already cleaned and cut, and no waste. The foods taste great, are economical, and they make cooking speedy. North Bay Trading Company has excellent products and service. If you haven't tried dried foods, you are working too hard at cooking, and missing a treat!

Review by: HapeeGood Punchy Celery Flavor That's Pretty Fresh TastingThis dried celery has a real, fresh, celery flavor. It isn't too strong, but it's definitely not wimpy either; an excellent option for seasoning soup, stuffing, or whatever, as well as adding to dishes as a flavorful vegetable. It seems to retain a bit of celery's appealing crunchiness, and just a little chewiness, which is nice, rather like encountering a little chunk of dried fruit in a dish would be. I have only tried either adding directly to a dish, or presoaking in cold water for about 30 minutes. I suspect with different prep methods you'd get a variety of effects from it, which is a plus.

Review by: cherokeeHandy!!!This solves the problem of having to buy a bunch of celery for one or two recipes. Nothing gets thrown away and the reconstituted dried celery is excellent.

Review by: JJ2007Remarkable Find!I simply can't believe how long I've been using the inferior type of "celery flakes" from the more popular name brand companies. These 'Air Dried Celery' cuts are simply divine! Each cut is uniform in size, and when re-hydrated, is every bit as delightful as fresh celery; both in aroma and taste.

Review by: IleaExcellent quality addition to my pantryFor the value, you get a huge amount of dried celery to use in soups, and simmered dishes. Consistent sized pieces. I am mixing some with onions and dried carrots to make a dried mirepoix mix that's ready to use whenever I need it! Will definitely buy again.
