Review by: VGreat in soupCame out great in homemade chicken soup. These dried carrots taste and look great and don't get pale and mushy like fresh carrots.

Review by: David~ Fine Quality Carrot Dices ~Am very picky about my dried root vegetables and these carrots have not disappointed. The ones received here are a bit paler than the illustration is showing though they're really good quality (would rather have a little paleness than added artificial colors). These dices are used most days for my regular soups and stews, even incorporating them into my veggie omelets along with many other North Bay Trader air-dried niceties. Just re-hydrate overnight and toss them in. Good stuff!

Easy to Prepare
- Add dried carrot flakes while cooking soups, stews, sauces, casseroles and other foods with sufficient liquid content.
- For most other applications, hydrate using 1 part dry carrots and 4.5 parts water.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1/3 cup dry. In general, our air dried vegetables double in volume when hydrated.
Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of air dried carrot flakes, once rehydrated, equals approximately 4.5 lbs of fresh prepared chopped carrots.
Storage — Best if used within 18 months. Store tightly sealed in a dry location away from sunlight.
