Review by: MauryammBeautiful blackberriesAbsolutely perfect glossy puffy whole blackberries, just beautiful. I was a little worried about the seeds, and the texture is interesting but not too hard to chew. The flavor isn’t as intense as expected, they’re blackberries not ollaliberries, after all.

Review by: an adventurous toddlerTasty but not our favorite for snackingWe've been using NBT freeze-dried fruits & veg as snacks for our daughter since a 22-day road trip last summer at age 1... highly recommend! We were able to use food to stave off bored toddler meltdowns WITHOUT making a huge mess in the car or feeding her nutritionless rice puffs for 3 weeks straight, and now at home I can give her an unprocessed snack with zero effort. We always have a couple little tupperware of freeze dried treats in the diaper bag. These blackberries do indeed taste like blackberries, yum! The texture is light and crispy, but none of us (adults or kiddo) were a fan of the seeds. I realize blackberries are always going to have seeds, duh, but for some reason they seem more annoying this way. They are quite fragile, so not a great addition to hiking or car snacks... the resulting blackberry powder will stain where you least expect it. I'd totally keep them around for cooking or smoothies, though!

Review by: BearaThe best freeze dried blackberries I've ever purchasedThese are amazing, they are whole pieces. They are both tangy and sweet and everything you would want in a freeze dried blackberry. I typically get the 1 pound bag and it lasts about a month or 2. I highly recommend these.

Review by: JovannaThink out of the boxI found these very tart to snack on...but then serendipitously, I started canning and found a recipe for gastrique, a sweet/sour syrup you use with fruits...so BINGO, I used these in place of fresh blackberries, reconstituted them, and moved on with the recipe. YUMMY. I drizzle it over Greek yogurt...think out of the box and find a use for this, you will amaze yourself how verstatile it is to keep these freeze dried fruits around when you least expect it!

Easy to Prepare
- Use dry as a healthy snack, as an addition to trail mixes, and as a crunchy topping for cereals and desserts.
- For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1 cup dry with very low moisture content.
Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of freeze dried marion blackberries, once rehydrated, equals approximately 8 lbs of fresh prepared blackberries.
Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to high humidity and heat.
