Review by: JoyfulmnThis will be a pantry stapleI tried the FD celery and found it to be excellent. We did a day trip and I packed a chicken salad containing fresh cucumbers and the FD celery to absorb some of the cucumber moisture. I had a very hard time telling which was which when we ate the salad. Nothing seemed soggy or not crunchy. I'm definitely going to keep this on hand for the times I don't have fresh celery.

Review by: KCTastes GreatWe used it in soup and directly out of the package. The texture and taste is pretty good. Much better than the air dried version.

Review by: SnafoooGood Product. Works well in a Meal in a JarIn making meals in a jar or mylar pouch, you want the ingredients to re-hydrate as quickly as possible. When you have dehydrated celery, it sometimes doesn't rehydrate fast enough and it ends up being "chewy". That's where the FREEZE DRIED celery comes in. It rehydrates quickly which makes it perfect for meals in a jar. I'll be ordering this a lot.

Easy to Prepare
- Add dry for a crunchy effect in salads, and while serving, cooked rice, cooked pasta, and soups.
- Add dry during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking soups and stews that have sufficient amounts of broth.
- For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5-10 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.
Yield — 1 oz of this freeze dried celery equals about 3 1/2 cups dry with very low moisture content.
Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to heat and humidity.
