Review by: grannyIt's great but would be really super perfect if organic.I've added a handful of this kale to whatever soup I make. Even when I open a can of prepared soup. What an easy way to boost the nutrition. Adds bulk & flavor with no effort on my part. Wish it came in organic.

Review by: Uncommon SenseTastyI have been adding this dried kale to my soups recently, and it reconstitutes perfectly. Adds great flavor in just the right sized pieces. Tastes just like fresh kale without all the hassle of chopping, or risk of spoiling in the fridge until I have time for chopping it up. It goes a long way too, as the 1.8oz bag filled 1 and a half of the quart canning jars. A great way to add some healthy vitamins and minerals while still fitting into a busy schedule!

Review by: ClaraPerfect!I love these small flakes of kale. They are perfect for adding to soups, stews, salads, etc. We are not kale lovers generally, but this is a wonderful way to get the health benefits when mixed with other foods.
I'm back for my second order and plan to keep them in stock.(Posted on

Review by: Healthy SnackerGreat taste, wish pieces were largerThe taste is extremely fresh and tastes just like kale. I'm thinking of combining them with some FD onions -- would be a wonderful snack, I'll bet. I just wish the pieces were larger (not diced, chopped or whole) -- would make snacking easier! Just a request... thanks :)

Easy to Prepare
- Add dry during the last 5-10 minutes of cooking soups, stews or casseroles that have sufficient amounts of liquid.
- For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 to 10 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 3 cups dry with less than 4% moisture content.
Rehydration Ratio — 1 lb of freeze dried kale, once rehydrated, equals approximately 15 lbs of fresh prepared kale.
Storage — Tastes best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed and minimize exposure to heat and humidity.
