Review by: LGA Real TreasureThis is the first time that I've tried the Freeze Dried Granny Smith sliced apples and enjoyed them instantly and thoroughly!! The tartness stays with them and the crunch is very satisfying even to the bottom of the bag if you remember to seal them properly after each use. I suspect that one would need to eat them quickly if you live in a more humid area than the desert Southwest because even when I had a small amount out for little over an hour in July they lost their crunch. I will buy these on a regular basis because they make terrific, healthy, natural snacks with no added sugar or sulfites. I don't need to eat them quickly to prevent spoiling and they are perfect for traveling and indoor and outdoor activities. I found the cost to be reasonable in relation to the amount and how long they last even when eating them on a daily basis. I consider it reasonable because in the desert fruit spoils quickly and winds up being costly when it has to be thrown out too soon. All in all these Freeze Dried Granny Smith sliced apples are a total pleasure to buy, eat, and store. The only thing I am sorry about is that it took so long to discover them. They are a true treasure! Thanks be to and all Glory be to God for creating the fruits and for giving the people at North Bay Trading Company the wisdom and skills necessary to do the workmanship and knowledge of freeze drying.

Sliced Freeze Dried Granny Smith Apples
Easy to Prepare
- Use dry as a healthy snack, as an addition to trail mixes, and as a crunchy topping for cereals and desserts.
- For most other applications, hydrate by soaking for 5 minutes in a generous amount of cold or hot water (hot water works slightly better). Then drain.
Yield — 1 oz equals about 1 1/2 cup dry with very low moisture content.
Storage — Best if used within 24 months of purchase. Store tightly sealed while minimizing exposure to high humidity and heat.
